Anyways, I thought this was a fitting Christmas card. Originally I wanted a photo of me scaling a steeply overhung rock face, placing gear as cool as a koala and being belayed by a kangaroo while my dirtbag climbing bums put various "shrimps on the barby" below, but you can't have it all. Still, here is proof that I am either climbing in Australia or have snuck into a zoo with a climbing rope.
Earlier today I was able to catch my siblings all together for a skype session and it made me realize how fortunate I am to have people that I love all over the world. Even though it is a bit sad to be away for the holidays, kind people everywhere have opened their homes, tents and friendships up to me and I feel filled to the brim with love. It is incredible how one can feel so lonely one moment, and so loved the next. The smallest acts make the biggest differences. I wish you all a very merry Christmas. Remember the power of your words and the kindness in your gestures...it may make a world of difference to all those Christmas orphans (like me!) out there.
